Bushido - The Way of the Warrior
A very brief introduction to what I do and why I do it.

A lot of people ask me what is Bushido and why do I study it. Well there is no one simple answer to this question. Bushido (Way of the Warrior) was a code of conduct that the Samurai classes used to follow. It is still practiced today in varying forms throughout the world, and currently I am a member of the Bushido Academy of Martial Arts (B.A.M.A), studying under Sensei Appleton.
Among the many disciplines and lessons of Bushido is the study of our own form of Samurai Sword techniques (Ken Kai Ryu). Unfortunately we are not permitted to video and distribute our training, but a quick search on Youtube yielded a couple of videos that are very close to what we practice.
The first is a video on Iaido, the art of Drawing and re-sheathing the sword:

Hopefully these will encourage you to read a little further on the virtues and benefits of Bushido, and also help those who know me understand a little more about what I do. Of course these only scratch the surface of what is a huge pool of knowledge.
