A run for my money...

There are few seminal moments in life. Moments that really stand out, that you know you will remember for the rest of your life. Well I've just had one of those...

It's a simple thing and won't mean much to those outside of certain circles, but I felt it deserved some space here. I've just checked out my 15 year old Nephew Ashley's website (http://ashthornton.co.uk/), and I was blown away!

Ok it might need some work in terms of content, but I'm sure that come will in time, and perhaps coding, SEO and accessibility could be improved. However, I think he has hit the design nail smack bang in the center of it's head... and hit it hard. Obviously being 15 that's the age bracket he will be targeting, with his demograph being primarilly school friends and other kids around his age who are into gaming and the internet as much as he is, and the style he has created for his site fits that category perfectly.

I always knew he could draw and play with computers a little, and over the years I have answered some questions for him relating to different things, but he has surpassed any preconceptions I may have had. He could give many professional designers a lesson or two in simplistic design. I hope he continues, and I look forward to seeing what he comes up with in the future. Maybe I should have got him to do mine!

Am I gushing? Damn straight I am, I couldn't be prouder of him.

Ash, you rock... but I think you may need a little help...
