Thunder, Whitesnake and Def Leppard rock Cardiff
Three rock legends raise the roof of the Cardiff International Arena.

I had the most amazing time last night. I went to Cardiff to see Thunder, Whitesnake and Def Leppard play live at the CIA, and what a concert. The bands delivered big time and treated us fans to an epic event.
Thunder opened the gig (as usual by pinching AC/DC's "Thunder Struck"!) and launched straight into "Dirty Love" which got the crowd going immediately. They continued to play all of their classic hits including "Gimme Some Lovin'", "Low Life in High Places" and "Love Walked In" to name but a few. As a big Thunder fan, this was the highlight of the evening for me (although not nearly a long enough set), but from here it just kept getting better and better. However, Danny really should learn to dance!

Next up were Whitesnake, and even though David Coverdale and crew are knocking on a bit (well at least DC is), they belted out the hits and played with the crowd as seasoned pros. Again hit after hit was levied upon us, and we all responded in kind, singing (well screaming actually) and clapping our little hearts out. "Fool For Your Lovin'" was their opener and they followed this with their big guns such as "Here I Go Again", "Is This Love" and "In The Heart Of The City". Man those old guys can rock!

Then came Def Leppard. They opened with "Rocket", and we did! Other biggies followed such as "Let's Get Rocked", "Pour Some Sugar On Me" and "Animal" giving us little time to breath between each. Again a great set from a great band who worked the crowd perfectly. Joe Elliot and crew sounded just like they do on their albums, even though the sound rig wasn't actually that good in terms of quality.

All in all it was a top notch gig, and these three rock giants proved once again why they have such a huge fan base, and seeing all three on the same bill was just too good to miss.
So now I'm sat here listening to these guys play again on my headphones, sporting a huge grin
