It's the end of the world as we know it - take 2

Back in September we were led to believe that the end of the Universe was upon us when the men in white coats fired up the Hadron Collider (LHC) and started shooting Atoms at each other (now that sounds like the ultimate paintball!). Well clearly it didn't happen that way. There wasn't so much as a puff of smoke or a wobble in the spacetime continuum to mark this monumental event. Oh yes it was all very successful, but where were the fireworks, the swooping Valkyries or for that matter the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse?
Well never one to want to disappoint, I present to you the effects of a 500km Asteroid dropping in to say Hello. Watching this makes me realise how utterly insignificant we really are, especially when you read the end statement...
