The Moon, Jupiter, Venus in conjunction

Last night, the Moon, Jupiter, Venus in conjunction. That means they were all lined up in a particular order!

It was one of the most amazing things I have ever seen, and it's not going to happen again until July 21st 2036! Of course the fact that it made a smiley face was the just the best side effect :)

Were you lucky enough to see it? I didn't have a camera on me to take any piccies but a quick search around the wonder that is Flickr turned up a few good images.

Celestial events like these always make me think about how insignificant we really are when you look at us on a cosmic scale.
