Sometimes we all get complacent with life, we all take things for granted. Our sight for instance. But what would you do if you lost your sight? Most of us would probably fall apart, and lock ourselves in our safe familiar homes. Not John Bramblitt. His story is remarkable, and very humbling. His softly spoken, only positive outlook is humbling and quite motivating.
John Bramblitt (born 1971) is a blind painter of American origin. He began painting after losing his sight in 2001 after a series of severe seizures. His art has been displayed in over 20 nations and he has been the subject of numerous media stories including a documentary that won several short film awards and a video that was voted Most Inspirational Video of 2008 for YouTube. He was awarded US Presidential awards for volunteerism in 2005, 2006, and 2007 for his creation of a series of free art workshops designed to bring art to people and neighborhoods that lacked access to art instruction.

Just watched a TV special about John Bramblitt and his paintings. All I can say is, "Awesome". Most people would shy away from things like this if they bacame blind. I'm sure he has inspired so many people that have handicaps. God Bless John & continued success with his painting!!!
